CodersTrust Launches Workforce Inclusion Initiative for Third Gender Community in Partnership with Government

5000 third gender individuals to be trained in collaboration with Bangladesh Computer Council

CodersTrust has launched today a digital skilling program aimed at empowering and including the third gender community in the digital economy forging a groundbreaking collaboration with the Government of Bangladesh. CodersTrust will be delivering the countrywide training under its NationWIDE (Nationwide Workforce Inclusion for Digital Economy) umbrella initiative.

The program was inaugurated by the honorable State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Division, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, who announced a USD 10 million project through CodersTrust to provide short, medium, and long-term training for 5000 third gender individuals. This initiative will cover various topics, including basic computer skills and digital marketing, and other digital skills, to significantly boost the employment opportunities and entrepreneurial prospects of this marginalized community of the country.

“I think the third gender people will play a greater role in successfully creating a smart Bangladesh by being properly skilled. And in their journey, we’ve got CodersTrust with us,” said Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP.

During the event, Ranjit Kumar, serving as the Executive Director of the Bangladesh Computer Council, and Saleh Ahmed, President of Bandhu Welfare Society, delivered thought-provoking speeches, adding their valuable insights to the occasion.
