CodersTrust Bangladesh and Ostitto Join Forces to Bridge the Digital Divide

Dhaka, Bangladesh

CodersTrust Bangladesh has forged a meaningful partnership with Ostitto Bangladesh, a non-profit organization, dedicated to the welfare of the third gender community. Through a recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing, CodersTrust commits to providing ICT literacy training to Ostitto members, offering them the skills and hope needed for a brighter future.

Mr. Shamsul Haque, CEO of CodersTrust, and Former Additional Foreign Secretary emphasized the institute’s dedication to equal rights and recognized the immense potential within the third gender community. He stated, “At CodersTrust, we are committed to the principle of inclusion, and equal rights should extend to all, and we see the incredible potential within the third gender community. Our collaboration with Ostitto is a testament to our hope and dedication to empowering the marginalized youth through ICT literacy and skills development.”

Participating in the training sessions was highly anticipated by Team Ostitto. Ostitto team president Kha. Mo. Mahabub Mostofa (Mugdho) expressed gratitude for the collaboration, noting that this MoU highlights the joint commitment to fostering a more inclusive society and upskilling the underprivileged community. “Skill development is the key to breaking the barriers of underprivileged status within the third gender community, and this MoU with CodersTrust shows that transformative potential,” they said.

CodersTrust’s involvement in this initiative builds upon their previous work with the third gender community, including projects with the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) and collaboration with community-based organizations like “Jibangothon Unnayan Shongstha” and “Bandhu Social Welfare Society.” The MoU underscores CodersTrust’s ongoing efforts to challenge social stereotypes. As part of this endeavor, each training batch will include five third gender individuals, promoting social inclusion as a key step in breaking stereotypes.

This partnership reflects CodersTrust’s commitment to breaking social stigma and empowering marginalized communities through ICT training, equipping them with the skills and knowledge for a brighter and more inclusive future.
